About Craps

A standard Craps round begins with the come-out roll. If the first roll is 7 or 11, a Pass Line bet wins. If it is 2, 3 or 12, the Pass Line bet loses.

Rolling 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 establishes the Point. From there, the Pass Line objective is for the Point to be rolled again before a 7 appears.

Alongside the basic line bet, players can use Come, Odds, Lay/Win and other traditional options. Some bets apply to a single roll, while others remain active across several rolls until their win or loss condition is met.

The current Playtech version expands the classic structure with Super Streak. This side bet tracks consecutive unique outcomes and increases the potential payout as the streak develops.

Craps Dice and Bets

Craps does not use reel symbols. Its main elements are two six-sided dice and the betting-board areas.

  • Pass Line. The main bet on a successful come-out roll or on the established Point being rolled again before 7.
  • Come. A bet that, after a Point has been established, follows the logic of a new come-out roll within the current sequence.
  • Odds. An additional bet linked to an already established Point.
  • Lay / Win. Bets on specific numbers and whether they appear relative to 7.
  • Hardways. Bets on certain matching-pair combinations of the two dice.
  • Any Craps. A bet on rolling 2, 3 or 12.
  • C&E. A combined bet on Craps or Eleven.
  • Seven. A bet on rolling 7.
  • Super Streak. A side bet on a sequence of unique roll outcomes.

Reels, paylines, Wilds, Scatters and a symbol-based paytable do not apply to Craps.

Craps Mechanics and Features

Craps combines the classic dice-game structure with the additional Super Streak side bet.

Come-Out Roll. The first roll either settles the Pass Line immediately or establishes the Point.

Point Phase. When 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 appears, that number becomes the Point. For the Pass Line to win, it must be rolled again before 7.

Multi-Bet Structure. The table includes both one-roll bets and positions that stay active across multiple rolls.

Odds. An additional bet lets players increase the amount linked to an already established Point.

Super Streak. This feature tracks consecutive unique results. The longer the streak, the higher the potential payout; the highest published figure is 250× the Super Streak bet.

Automated Bet State Handling. The game automatically tracks the status of active bets between rolls and applies the appropriate result after each dice outcome.

Free Spins. Standard free spins do not apply because Craps is a dice-based Table Game.

Craps Interface and Controls

Most of the Craps interface is taken up by the betting board with areas for different types of wagers. Before a roll, the player selects a chip value and places it on the required position.

After the roll starts, the two dice determine the result. The system automatically updates the Point, active bets and the outcome of that roll.

Different areas of the table correspond to Pass Line, Come, Odds, Lay/Win, Hardways and other options. Super Streak is presented as a separate side-bet mechanic linked to a sequence of unique results.

Craps Reviews

Below are opinions about Craps. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.

I like that Craps keeps the classic game structure. You can start with Pass Line, quickly understand the come-out roll and Point, and only then add more complicated bets.

Editor’s reply:

Pass Line does remain the basic way to learn the logic of Craps.

Super Streak makes this version more interesting than a basic digital Craps game. I like watching a sequence of different outcomes build while the potential payout increases.

Editor’s reply:

Super Streak tracks unique results and can pay up to 250× the side-bet amount.

Once I understood the Point principle, the game became much easier. The main question is always the same: will the required number appear before seven? The other wagers can then be learned gradually.

Editor’s reply:

The Point phase is indeed the central part of the classic Craps cycle after the come-out roll.

The large choice of bets is both a strength and a weakness. Hardways, Come, Odds, Lay and the other areas provide plenty of options, but a beginner can easily get confused by the table at first.

Editor’s reply:

The Craps interface contains several groups of bets, so it is easier to learn them step by step.

This is not a slot in the usual sense at all. There are no reels or free spins, but there is a proper betting board and two dice. I like the format specifically as a table game, though players who prefer feature-heavy slots may find it too mathematical.

Editor’s reply:

Craps belongs to Table Games and is built around betting on the results of two dice.
