Penny Roulette Review

Penny Roulette by Playtech is an RNG version of European roulette with a single zero and bets starting from 0.01. The wheel has 37 sectors: green 0 and numbers 1 to 36. RTP is 97.30%, while the standard Straight Up payout is 35:1. Alongside the regular betting table, the game includes a Racetrack for Neighbours, Voisins du Zero, Tiers, and Orphelins, plus quick Rebet, Autoplay, and Turbo functions.

Penny Roulette Demo — Play for Free

Penny Roulette is available in demo mode, so you can explore the rules and interface without wagering real money. Free play is particularly useful for comparing Straight Up, Split, Street, Corner, Line, and outside bets such as Red/Black, Odd/Even, Low/High, Dozen, and Column. The demo also lets you try the Racetrack, repeat the previous bet set with Rebet, use faster Turbo play, and run an automatic series of spins.

Penny Roulette Key Features

The main difference between Penny Roulette and most classic online roulette games is reflected in its name: the minimum denomination starts at 0.01. The core rules remain European, with a single zero, 37 possible outcomes, and the standard payout table for inside and outside bets.

About Penny Roulette

Penny Roulette uses a European wheel with one green 0 sector and numbers 1 to 36. Before each spin, you choose a chip denomination and place one or more bets on the digital table. Pressing Spin starts the wheel and ball automatically, and any payout is calculated from the sector where the ball lands.

Inside bets cover a small number of numbers. Straight Up covers one specific number and pays 35:1. Split covers two adjacent numbers and pays 17:1, Street covers three numbers for 11:1, Corner covers four for 8:1, and Line covers six numbers with a 5:1 payout.

Outside bets cover larger groups. Dozen and Column each cover 12 numbers and pay 2:1. Red/Black, Odd/Even, and Low/High each cover 18 numbers and pay 1:1. Zero is not included in these groups, so a standard outside bet loses when 0 lands.

The game appeared in the Playtech catalogue in 2017 and is designed around low stakes. A minimum denomination of 0.01 is confirmed by several current operator pages for the exact version. Maximum limits vary significantly between operators, however, so they should not be treated as one fixed technical parameter across all Penny Roulette integrations.

Penny Roulette Bet Types and Features

Penny Roulette has no Free Spins, Wild, Scatter, or Bonus Buy. Its additional features focus on the extended roulette table, quick bet repetition, and pace controls.

  • Straight Up. A bet on one number with a 35:1 payout.
  • Split. A bet on two adjacent numbers with a 17:1 payout.
  • Street. Covers a horizontal row of three numbers and pays 11:1.
  • Corner. Covers four adjacent numbers and pays 8:1.
  • Line. A six-number bet with a 5:1 payout.
  • Dozen / Column. Each covers 12 numbers and pays 2:1.
  • Red / Black, Odd / Even, Low / High. Each covers 18 numbers and pays 1:1.

Racetrack switches the table to a view based on the physical order of numbers on the European wheel. It makes sector bets such as Neighbours, Voisins du Zero, Tiers du Cylindre, and Orphelins easier to place without building each combination manually on the main grid.

Neighbours lets you select a specific number and add adjacent sectors on both sides. In the exact version reviewed, the width of this coverage can be adjusted. Voisins du Zero covers the sector around zero, Tiers covers the opposite part of the wheel, and Orphelins covers numbers outside those two groups.

Rebet restores the previous round’s bets. Available versions may also include a function that doubles the previous set and immediately starts a new spin. These commands speed up the interface but do not change the probability of the next number.

Autoplay lets you set a series of automatic spins in advance; a detailed review of the exact version confirms settings of up to 99 rounds. Turbo shortens the animation and delivers results faster, so it is useful to check the bet size and selected pattern before enabling it.

Penny Roulette Interface and Controls

The Penny Roulette screen is divided into a 3D wheel, the main betting table, and a control panel. You select a chip, tap the desired area of the table, and press Spin. When the ball stops, the interface shows the winning number, settles active positions, and presents quick controls for the next round.

  • Chip selector. Lets you choose the chip denomination; the game’s key feature is the ability to start from 0.01.
  • Spin. Starts the spin after bets are placed.
  • Rebet. Repeats the previous set of chips.
  • Racetrack. Opens sector and neighbour bets based on the physical order of numbers on the wheel.
  • Autoplay. Starts a series of automatic spins using the same betting pattern.
  • Turbo. Speeds up the round by shortening the animation.
  • Statistics. Shows the history and statistics of previous results; this data does not change the randomness of the next spin.

Some operator versions allow the table colour and display format to be changed. Penny Roulette also works on mobile devices, with the main table, Racetrack, and quick commands adapting to touchscreens. The demo is useful for checking how easy it is to place bets on narrow Split and Corner areas before using real money.

Penny Roulette Pros and Cons

Penny Roulette keeps the classic mathematics of European roulette while focusing on a low entry point and an expanded interface.

Pros

  • The minimum denomination starts from 0.01.
  • It uses a European single-zero wheel with 97.30% RTP.
  • Racetrack makes Neighbours, Voisins du Zero, Tiers, and Orphelins easier to place.
  • Rebet, Autoplay, and Turbo support faster repeat rounds.
  • Straight Up pays 35:1, as in standard European roulette.
  • A free demo mode and mobile version are available.

Cons

  • The game has no Free Spins, Bonus Buy, or separate bonus rounds.
  • Autoplay and Turbo noticeably increase the pace, so you can work through a sequence of bets more quickly.
  • Maximum table limits vary by operator and should not be treated as one fixed game parameter.

Penny Roulette Reviews

Below are opinions about Penny Roulette. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.

The biggest advantage of Penny Roulette for me is the genuinely low minimum denomination. You can explore inside bets without increasing the value of every click. The roulette itself is still fully featured, with the standard table, Racetrack, Rebet, and statistics. It is a good way to learn the European layout without needing a separate tutorial version.

Editor’s reply:

That combination of standard rules and denominations from 0.01 is what sets Penny Roulette apart. The mechanic remains full European roulette, while the low stake simply makes it easier to get familiar with the table.

I use the Racetrack most often because building Voisins and Tiers manually on the standard table is inconvenient. Sector bets are much faster to place this way. I also like Neighbours because you can choose a number and immediately add its neighbours on the wheel. For me, that is more useful than any bonus feature, which this game does not have anyway.

Editor’s reply:

The Racetrack is designed exactly for that use case. It shows the physical order of wheel sectors and lets you build neighbour and French sector bets without placing every chip manually.

Rebet saves a lot of time, especially when I use the same set for several spins in a row. Turbo is convenient too, but rounds move very quickly with it, so I usually enable it only after checking all my bets. The interface is clean, and the previous spin result is visible as soon as the ball stops.

Editor’s reply:

Checking your bets before using Turbo is a sensible approach. Rebet and the faster mode do not change the probability of the outcome, but they significantly reduce the time between consecutive spins.

I like that it uses one zero rather than the American 0 and 00. The 97.30% RTP is straightforward, and the payouts are standard too. The only thing to keep in mind is that maximum limits differ between operators, so the Penny name does not mean the whole table has the same limits everywhere.

Editor’s reply:

Yes, the underlying European mathematics stays the same, but operator limits may vary. Before real-money play, it is best to check the minimum and maximum bet table at the specific casino.

Penny Roulette is convenient to use, but I usually prefer games with separate bonuses and additional rounds. Everything here is built around a standard European wheel. On the other hand, the low stake, Racetrack, and Autoplay make it practical if you specifically want classic RNG roulette without a live dealer.

Editor’s reply:

That accurately describes the format. Penny Roulette does not add slot-style bonuses to classic roulette; most of the variety comes from bet types, the Racetrack, and pace settings.
