Baccarat by Hacksaw Gaming — Card Game Review
Baccarat Review
Baccarat by Hacksaw Gaming is a digital version of the classic card game in which you choose an outcome before the deal: Player wins, Banker wins, or Tie. There are no reels or paylines; the result is determined by standard baccarat rules, with third cards dealt automatically when required.

The Baccarat demo is useful for learning the betting layout, point-counting rules, and dealing sequence without risking your balance. Before playing, you can see how Player, Banker, and Tie bets work and how the system automatically applies the third-card rules.
Baccarat Key Features
Baccarat is a table card game by Hacksaw Gaming. The key feature of this version is its straightforward betting structure without separate bonus rounds: the player selects one or more outcomes, after which the deal proceeds automatically according to baccarat rules.
Baccarat Features
How Baccarat Works
Baccarat has two hands: Player and Banker. The game uses a shoe containing eight standard 52-card decks without jokers. Each side initially receives two cards. If the tableau rules require a third card, the game deals it automatically; the player does not decide whether to draw.
The aim is to predict in advance which hand will finish closer to 9 points, or to bet on a tie. Aces count as 1, cards from 2 to 9 count at face value, while tens, jacks, queens, and kings count as 0 in baccarat. If the total exceeds 9, only the final digit is used.
A natural 8 or 9 ends the drawing process, so no third card is dealt. In all other cases, Player and Banker follow fixed tableau rules. The player’s main decision is therefore not how to play the hand, but which outcome to bet on before the deal begins.

Cards and Values in Baccarat
Baccarat does not use symbols in the slot sense. Its game elements are standard playing cards in four suits, and only the card value matters when calculating a hand:
- Ace — 1 point;
- cards 2–9 — face value;
- 10, Jack, Queen, and King — 0 points;
- if the total is 10 or higher, only the remainder after division by 10 is counted.
For example, a hand of 7 + 6 has a final value of 3, while 9 + King remains 9.
Baccarat Bets and Features
Before the deal begins, you can bet on Player, Banker, and Tie. Hacksaw Gaming allows bets to be placed on multiple outcomes in the same round.
The official payout multipliers are:
- Player — 2× the Player stake when that hand wins;
- Banker — 1.95× the Banker stake when that hand wins;
- Tie — 9× the Tie stake when the deal ends in a tie.
If the result is a Tie, Player and Banker bets are returned. The game’s maximum payout is 9× the stake and is achieved with a successful Tie prediction. This version does not include separate free spins, Bonus Buy, or slot-style bonus rounds.
Baccarat Interface and Controls
The main controls are centred on the Player, Banker, and Tie areas. The player selects a stake, places chips on the chosen outcomes, and starts the round with the BET button. The cards are then dealt automatically and the result is calculated without any additional actions.
Interface options are available in the settings menu. The main practical step before confirming a wager is to check which outcomes your chips are placed on, especially when using several betting areas at the same time.
Baccarat Pros and Cons
Baccarat focuses on classic rules and fast deals, making it suitable for players who do not need complex bonus mechanics.
Pros
- Officially confirmed, straightforward Player / Banker / Tie rules.
- Eight standard decks with automatic application of the tableau rules.
- Bets can be placed on several outcomes at once.
- Maximum payout of 9× for Tie.
- The demo is useful for learning the mechanics without wagering real money.
Cons
- No free spins or conventional slot bonuses.
- The Tie bet is considerably riskier than the two main outcomes.
- The third card is determined automatically by the rules, leaving almost no strategic decisions after BET.
Baccarat Reviews
Below are opinions about Baccarat. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.
I like that nothing distracts from the baccarat itself. You choose Banker or Player, press BET, and watch the deal straight away. For me, one advantage is that the third-card rules are applied automatically, so I do not have to keep the entire drawing table in mind during every round.

I used the demo to understand why tens and face cards are counted differently in baccarat than in blackjack. After a few rounds, it became much clearer. The interface is simple, and the three main betting areas are easy to see. I would only like to have more detailed statistics directly on the main screen.

This version is calm and free of unnecessary effects. I like being able to bet on several outcomes at once, although I usually choose Banker only. Tie with a 9× payout looks tempting but is noticeably riskier. The game works well for short card sessions, especially if you already know the basic baccarat rules.

The game is easy to understand, but after a few deals I started to miss having more decisions to make. Once the bet is placed, everything happens automatically, including the third card. That is probably a plus for fans of classic baccarat, but I personally prefer table games where you can influence the course of the round.

Everything looks clean and the rules are clear, but I expected more features from Hacksaw Gaming. There are no bonus rounds, free spins, or extra mini-games here. If you specifically want classic baccarat, it is a solid option, but as entertainment for a long session it felt too repetitive for me.
