Stairs key features
Stairs was developed by InOut and released in February 2024. It belongs to the instant-win / tower-climb format and does not use traditional reels. RTP is 97%. The board has 13 levels, and you can choose one of seven difficulty settings before each round. Higher difficulty makes potential multipliers rise faster while also increasing the risk of the round ending.

About Stairs
Stairs replaces the usual crash curve with a staircase of successive levels. You start at the bottom and choose one of the available cells in the next row at each step.
After you choose, the character moves to that position while falling stones appear on the board. If the hazard does not hit the selected cell, the step is successful and the current potential result increases.
After a safe step, you can stop and use Cash Out or move to the next level. If a stone hits the character’s position before you exit, the current round ends without the accumulated result.
You choose one of seven difficulty levels before the start. Safer settings produce slower multiplier growth, while riskier settings reduce the number of safe positions and increase the potential payout more quickly.

Stairs game elements
Stairs has no standard slot symbols. Its main elements are the staircase, character, safe cells and falling stones.
- Stair Levels. The board is divided into 13 horizontal levels that the character climbs from bottom to top.
- Cells. On each new level, you choose the position for the next step.
- Falling Stones. Stones are the main hazard: if one hits the selected cell, the round ends.
- Multiplier Ladder. Potential multipliers are displayed alongside the levels and increase as the climb continues.
- Cash Out. After a successful step, this lets you end the round and lock in the current result.
- Auto Pick. Automatically selects a cell instead of requiring a manual choice.
Reels, paylines, Wilds, Scatters and a symbol-based paytable do not apply to Stairs.
Stairs mechanics and features
Stairs is built around step-by-step risk management and the option to exit after every successful move.
Seven Difficulty Levels. You can choose one of seven difficulty settings before the round starts. The setting changes the balance of safe and dangerous positions and the pace of multiplier growth.
13-Level Climb. The full route contains 13 horizontal levels. Each successfully completed step increases the current potential result.
Hazard Avoidance. You choose a cell, after which the falling-stone positions are determined. If a stone lands on the character’s position, the round ends.
Cash Out. After a safe step, you can stop climbing and collect the current result instead of taking the next risk.
Auto Pick. This feature lets the game choose a cell rather than requiring you to select the position manually.
Free Spins. Traditional free spins do not apply because Stairs is an instant-win game without reels.
Stairs interface and controls
The main Stairs screen is dominated by the vertical staircase of levels and available cells. Multipliers linked to upward progress are displayed to the left of the playing area.
Before a round starts, you set the bet and choose one of seven difficulty levels. Once the round begins, select a cell on the first available level or use Auto Pick.
After a successful step, the Cash Out button gives you the option to end the round with the current result. If you continue, the next choice opens along with a new risk of being hit by a falling stone.

Stairs reviews
Below are opinions about Stairs. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.
What I like most is the clear decision after every successful step. You can end the round immediately with Cash Out or try to climb higher. The staircase makes the risk feel more visible than a regular crash curve.

The seven difficulty levels change the feel of the game well. Calmer settings make it easier to learn the mechanic, while higher settings increase the tension much faster.

Auto Pick is useful when I do not want to choose a cell manually on every level. The result is still unpredictable, but the game moves faster.
The most tense moment is after you have already climbed several steps and need to decide whether to keep risking it. One unlucky stone can end the whole current sequence.
After regular slots, Stairs looks very minimalist. There are no symbols, paylines or bonus spins, but the rules are clear almost immediately. The format works better for short instant-win rounds.
