Limbo — InOut game review and demo

18+ only.

Limbo review

Limbo is a fast multiplier-based game by InOut where you choose the target multiplier before the round starts. After you place a bet, the system instantly generates a random multiplier result. If it reaches or exceeds your chosen target, the round is a win.

Limbo has an RTP of 96%. Bets range from 0.01 to 200 units. The game has no reels, paylines, Wilds or Scatters: the main decision is the target multiplier and the level of risk linked to it.

Limbo demo — play for free

Limbo is available in demo mode. The free version lets you test the target multiplier, changes in potential payout and the speed of instant rounds without wagering real money.

The demo is especially useful for understanding the relationship between multiplier and risk. A low target is reached more often but offers a smaller potential payout, while a high target requires a rarer final result.

Limbo key features

Limbo belongs to the Crash / Instant format. It has an RTP of 96%, bets from 0.01 to 200 units and a release date of 17 January 2024. The core mechanic is a target multiplier selected in advance and an instantly generated random result.

How to play Limbo

Before each round, you choose the bet amount and set a target multiplier. This target determines the potential payout if the result is successful.

Once the round starts, the system instantly generates a random multiplier. If the final value is equal to or higher than the selected target, the bet is settled at the target multiplier.

If the random result is below the selected multiplier, the bet loses. Raising the target therefore increases the potential payout while reducing the probability of meeting the condition.

Limbo differs from traditional crash games with a rising multiplier and manual Cashout: here, the target multiplier is set in advance and the result appears immediately after the round starts.

Limbo features

Limbo does not use traditional slot bonuses. Most of the variation comes from adjusting the target multiplier.

  • Target Multiplier. The multiplier is selected before the round and determines the potential payout.
  • Instant Result. A random multiplier is generated almost immediately after the round starts.
  • Adjustable Risk. Raising the target increases the potential result while reducing the probability of a successful outcome.
  • Preset Targets. The interface may offer quick selection of several preset multiplier values.
  • Autoplay. Automatic mode lets you repeat rounds with parameters selected in advance.

Megaways, Bonus Buy, Progressive, Free Spins, Wilds and Scatters do not apply to Limbo.

Limbo interface and bets

The Limbo interface is minimalist: the main elements are the bet field, target multiplier, probability of success and start button. This makes the risk parameters visible before the round begins.

Bets range from 0.01 to 200 units. The displayed currency depends on the operator offering the game.

Autoplay is useful for repeated rounds with the same settings. Before starting a sequence, check the bet amount and selected target because these determine the potential risk of each round.

Limbo pros and cons

Limbo suits players who prefer very fast rounds and want to choose the balance between probability and potential multiplier themselves.

Pros

  • RTP 96%.
  • Bets from 0.01 to 200 units.
  • You choose the target multiplier yourself.
  • Instant result.
  • Adjustable risk level.
  • Autoplay is available.
  • A free demo version is available.

Cons

  • A high target significantly reduces the probability of a successful result.
  • No Free Spins, Wilds, Scatters or traditional slot bonuses.
  • The review does not state an exact universal Max Win for this version because published specifications differ.

Limbo reviews

Below are opinions about Limbo. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.

I like that Limbo sets the risk before the round starts. You choose the target multiplier, immediately see how aggressive the bet will be and get the result almost instantly. There are no long animations or complex bonus screens. For short sessions, I find this format more convenient than a regular crash game where you wait for the Cashout moment.

Editor’s reply:

Yes. The key difference in Limbo is the preselected target and instant result instead of manual Cashout while the multiplier is rising.

The minimalist interface and the ability to change the target quickly work well for me. Lower multipliers feel calmer, while high targets make the increased risk obvious. The 0.01–200 bet range is flexible enough, and the demo lets you learn the mechanic without rushing into real-money play.

Editor’s reply:

The relationship between the target multiplier and probability is indeed the main risk setting in Limbo.

Autoplay is useful when I want to repeat the same settings for several rounds. Before a sequence, I always check the amount and target because the result appears very quickly. A 96% RTP looks standard for an instant format, and the game works well for players who dislike cluttered interfaces.

Editor’s reply:

Yes. With Autoplay, it is especially important to check the bet and selected multiplier in advance.

Limbo is visually quite simple, but everything important is easy to see. I prefer medium multipliers because losing streaks feel much sharper at very high targets. I would like to see one clear maximum win in the specifications without differences between platforms.

Editor’s reply:

For practical play, the selected target and the displayed probability for the specific round are more important.

I usually choose regular slots, so Limbo feels too minimalist for me. There are no reels, Free Spins or symbols to provide visual variety. The rules are immediately clear, though: choose a bet, set the target and get an instant result. It works for quick sessions but does not hold my attention for long.

Editor’s reply:

Limbo is better viewed as a separate multiplier-based Instant Game rather than a traditional video slot.
