Fish Catch — RTG Fishing Game Review and Free Demo

18+ only.

Fish Catch Review

Fish Catch by RTG is a multiplayer fishing shooter without reels or paylines. The player chooses a room, weapon and marine target, then shoots at moving fish, each with its own value. The game features more than 20 types of targets, up to four players in one round and five weapon levels with x1, x2, x3, x5 and x10 multipliers. Its main special feature is the random Mermaid’s Luck with a prize wheel worth up to 250x.

Fish Catch Demo — Play for Free

A Demo URL is available for Fish Catch in SlotsLaunch. The demo is especially useful before real-money play because the mechanic differs from a standard slot: you need to choose a room, cannon type and target while controlling the rate of fire. It lets you test manual aiming, lock-on/autoplay features, ricochets and the random Mermaid’s Luck without risk. Keep in mind that free-version conditions may differ from a specific operator configuration.

Key Features of Fish Catch

Fish Catch belongs to the Fishing category and does not use traditional reel parameters. Instead of paylines and symbol combinations, the game revolves around different fish species, weapon power, shot cost and multiplayer competition. Several sources confirm a top prize of up to 1000x the stake, while Mermaid’s Luck can add a reward of up to 250x. Public catalogues disagree on RTP, so no single universal value is claimed for all versions.

How to Play Fish Catch

Before starting, the player chooses one of the available rooms and an appropriate weapon level. Different areas contain sea creatures with different values: smaller targets usually offer more modest rewards, while larger ones have higher potential payouts. Up to four players can take part in a single game session.

Fish Catch uses five cannon levels. Confirmed sources list multipliers of x1, x2, x3, x5 and x10. A more powerful cannon increases both the cost of a shot and the potential reward, so raising firepower also increases the rate at which the game balance is used.

An important part of the mechanic is that a missed shot does not necessarily become a lost stake immediately. Operator instructions state that shots which do not hit a fish may ricochet off the edge of the screen until they collide with a target. The same instructions note that a shot counts as a real-money wager only when it hits a fish. This mechanic should be checked in the Rules of the active version because operator implementations may differ.

After successfully capturing a target, the player receives a reward linked to its value and the selected weapon level. More than 20 fish types create different levels of risk. Older operator materials specifically highlight the purple shark as one of the most valuable targets, with a potential result of up to 1000x the stake.

Fish, Weapons and Special Elements in Fish Catch

Fish Catch has no traditional paying symbols. Its main elements are marine targets, different cannon levels and special events.

  • Regular Fish. More than 20 types of targets with different values. The more valuable the target, the higher the potential prize.
  • Large Marine Targets. Operator reviews mention sharks, turtles and other high-value creatures.
  • Purple Shark. Several exact-game materials describe it as one of the most valuable targets, with potential of up to 1000x the stake.
  • Cannons x1/x2/x3/x5/x10. Five firepower levels that change the cost of each shot and the potential size of the reward.
  • Mermaid. Linked to the random Mermaid’s Luck feature and bonus wheel.

Mermaid’s Luck and Fish Catch Bonus Features

Mermaid’s Luck activates randomly during the base game. Once triggered, a wheel appears and adds an extra reward. Several independent and operator sources agree on a maximum result of up to 250x the current stake/shot value.

Weapon Multipliers let the player switch cannon power between x1, x2, x3, x5 and x10. This is not a free multiplier: a more powerful weapon also increases the shot cost, so it changes both the potential payout and the speed at which the balance is spent.

Bullet Reflection allows bullets to ricochet off the edge of the screen. A shot that does not hit a target immediately can therefore continue moving and collide with another fish later.

Target Lock / Auto Aim is described in exact step-by-step reviews as automatically tracking the selected target. Some interfaces also include a mode for selecting a particular fish type for automatic hunting.

Fish Catch has no traditional Free Spins, Wild, Scatter or Bonus Buy. Mermaid’s Luck is a separate random bonus feature within the fishing-shooter mechanic.

Fish Catch Interface and Controls

The main controls involve choosing a room, target and weapon power. The player can aim the cannon manually at a specific fish or use automated modes if they are available in the current version. Older step-by-step guides for the exact game separately describe Autoplay Aim and Autoplay Fish.

Fish Catch is designed as a multiplayer game for up to four participants. Players occupy separate positions or rooms and try to achieve a higher result at the same time. The screen shows the current stake, selected weapon, available targets and remaining round time.

Operator materials indicate support for desktop and mobile. Because the game is visually busy and many targets can appear on screen at once, it is useful to practise in the demo first on a small display and get used to switching firepower.

Fish Catch Pros and Cons

Fish Catch is designed for players who want a more active format than traditional reel spinning.

Pros

  • Multiplayer format supports up to four players.
  • More than 20 fish types provide different levels of potential rewards.
  • Five weapon levels: x1, x2, x3, x5 and x10.
  • Mermaid’s Luck can award an extra prize of up to 250x.
  • The highest published prize reaches 1000x the stake.
  • A free demo mode is available.

Cons

  • RTP varies noticeably between public sources and should be checked in the specific version.
  • A more powerful cannon increases not only the potential win but also the cost of shots.
  • Players who prefer reels, paylines and Free Spins may find the fishing-shooter format unfamiliar.

Fish Catch Reviews

Below are opinions about Fish Catch. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.

I like that Fish Catch genuinely feels like a separate arcade game rather than a slot with a fish theme. You choose a target, change cannon power and keep watching the screen. Switching between x1 and x10 is especially interesting, although at the higher level you immediately notice how much faster the balance is used.

Editor’s reply:

Yes, the choice of firepower directly affects both the potential reward and the cost of every successful shot.

Mermaid’s Luck breaks up the regular shooting nicely because it appears unexpectedly and switches the game to a separate wheel. The maximum of up to 250x looks interesting, but I like that the bonus does not replace the core mechanic. Most of the time you still need to choose fish and control the cannon.

Editor’s reply:

Exactly: Mermaid’s Luck is an additional random layer, while the main Fish Catch loop remains a fishing-shooter mechanic.

The larger fish look much more interesting than the smaller ones, especially when you know the purple shark can produce a very high result. But it is easy to spend many shots chasing an expensive target, so I would not keep the cannon at maximum power all the time. The demo shows clearly how quickly the cost of play changes between levels.

Editor’s reply:

Correct, a high-value target does not guarantee a profitable round, so the cost of a series of shots needs to be considered separately.

What surprised me most was the ricochet from the edge of the screen. In a normal shooter, a miss simply disappears, but here the bullet can keep moving and hit another fish later. That makes the screen feel more active. I would just like to see a clearer official RTP value across all operators.

Editor’s reply:

RTP is indeed published inconsistently, so the figure in the Rules of the specific version matters more than a number from a general catalogue.

After standard slots, Fish Catch initially felt too active. There is no familiar Spin button, paylines or Free Spins; instead, you constantly choose targets and monitor weapon power. Multiplayer and Mermaid’s Luck add variety, but personally this format suits me better for short sessions.

Editor’s reply:

That reaction is understandable: Fish Catch belongs to the Fishing category and is built around constant interaction rather than automatic reel outcomes.
