From 2023–2024, Switch Studios expanded noticeably beyond classic table games. Games Global linked this strategy to growing interest in casual and non-traditional game formats. One of the key concepts was Land & Win, used in 9 Pots of Gold Land & Win and 9 Masks of Fire Land & Win.
Land & Win uses a familiar 1–36 numbered board together with a separate slot-style reel. Players select numbers, after which the reel can add multipliers, modifiers and free plays. In 9 Masks of Fire Land & Win, individual multipliers can be boosted, while the number of selected positions affects the volatility profile. It is a hybrid rather than ordinary RNG roulette or a standard video slot.
In February 2025, Flippin’ Awesome Shields of Asgard introduced a casual coin-flip format. Before a round, players can choose how many shields are flipped and how many successful outcomes are required, with probabilities and potential payout shown before the bet. The series continued in July with Flippin’ Awesome Gold Chase, where risk can also be adjusted through the number of coins and the target result.
On 7 April 2025, Gridlock Gem Blast became the first officially announced Switch Studios slot release. Games Global described it as a cluster-based slot with cascading reactions and a bonus round. That distinction is important because third-party pages had often labelled the whole Switch catalogue as “slots” even while the studio’s own profile described the team as a developer of RNG table and non-slot games.
On 20 October 2025, the studio released Runaway Chicken, its first crash game. The player guides a chicken across nine roads over three levels while the potential reward rises with progress. The release shows that Switch Studios now works not only with table games but also with short, risk-driven formats.
