MGA Games Review

MGA is the Spanish gaming brand of Grupo MGA, with online content published under MGA Games. The group has operated since 1976 and its online games division since 2001. The official corporate site lists more than 100 HTML5 titles across slots, Video Bingo and Table Games, with a strong focus on localised collections, Classic Bar Slots, celebrity-led games and market-specific adaptations. MGA Games remained active with new products in 2026, including Mina de Oro Golden Edition, Chiquito Medieval, Royal Bank Bingo, La Bandida 777 and Dragones Doble Bote. This page covers the Spanish game provider MGA Games, not the Malta Gaming Authority.

MGA Games Slots and Casino Games

Slots form the core of the MGA Games online catalogue, alongside Video Bingo and RNG Table Games. Its slot range includes classic three-reel formats, modern five-reel video slots, Megaways titles and games built around local celebrities. Recognisable names include Mina de Oro, Chiquito de la Calzada, Popeye Cazatesoros, Mariachi Picante Megaways, Royal Bank, La Bandida 777 and Dragones Doble Bote. RTP, volatility, maximum wins and feature availability should always be checked for the specific game version.

MGA vs MGA Games: What Is the Difference?

In this provider context, MGA refers to Spain’s Grupo MGA, while its digital games are published under the MGA Games brand. The distinction is essential because the same abbreviation is widely used for the Malta Gaming Authority, Malta’s gambling regulator.

Grupo MGA’s official website presents MGA Games as the group’s online gaming division. The taxonomy can therefore retain the short name MGA, but user-facing copy should make clear that this is MGA Games from Spain.

The Malta Gaming Authority is not a slot developer and is not the creator of Mina de Oro, Chiquito, Royal Bank or other games in the MGA Games catalogue.

Grupo MGA History

Grupo MGA was founded in 1976 and is chaired by Jaume Sanahuja Junyent. The group operates across several gaming and entertainment segments in Spain, including land-based gaming products, gaming venues, bingo and online content.

Its headquarters are in Parc Tecnològic del Vallès, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona. The corporate website is owned by GRUPO MGA-NEW PARK, S.L., NIF B-64236052, registered in the Barcelona Company Registry.

The MGA Games online division has operated since 2001. The official corporate page says it develops Slots, Videobingo and Table Games for global operators and has a portfolio of more than 100 HTML5 titles.

MGA Games received Jdigital’s eGaming Best Technology Provider award in 2018 and was recognised by EXPOJOC as Online Games Provider in 2026. More important for this review, the current corporate catalogue and 2026 product activity confirm that the online brand remains active more than two decades after launch.

What Games Does MGA Games Make?

MGA Games groups its digital products into three main categories.

  • Slots. Classic Bar Slots, five-reel video slots, Megaways, themed games and celebrity-led releases.
  • Video Bingo. Mobile-friendly bingo products with cards, extra balls, mini-games, jackpots and special features.
  • Table Games. RNG versions of classic casino games without a live dealer requirement.

A defining feature of the portfolio is localisation. The company uses the “Think global, Act local” approach and develops dedicated collections for markets such as Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Italy and the Netherlands.

This makes MGA Games different from studios that simply translate one global catalogue. A local theme, character, celebrity, voice-over or even product format can become the basis of a separate title.

Spanish Celebrities and Localised MGA Games

Spanish Celebrities is one of the most distinctive MGA Games collections. It uses the likenesses and personalities of well-known Spanish performers, comedians and television figures, with Chiquito de la Calzada among the best-known examples.

Localised series also exist for other countries. Official showcases have featured products associated with Chef Chakall for Portugal, Renata Gonzalez for Colombia, Sylvia Geersen for the Netherlands, Jolanda de Rienzo for Italy, and Chantal Palm or Charlie Riina in other international collections.

The approach can extend beyond artwork. MGA Games adapts themes, characters, language, voice-over and sometimes the underlying game format to a particular audience.

For a Global English page, that local-market strategy should be described without inventing a universal country-specific version of the brand. Regional collections are relevant only where MGA Games has actually created or launched them.

Chiquito Medieval and Classic Bar Slots

Chiquito Medieval was one of MGA Games’ notable 2026 releases. It launched in Spain on 29 June and belongs to the Spanish Celebrities collection.

The game is a Classic Bar Slot with three reels and seven mini-games. Official and industry launch material lists bets from €0.20 to €15 and a maximum cash prize of €15,000. Its audio uses original phrases associated with Chiquito de la Calzada.

The Classic Bar Slot format brings the familiar Spanish bar-machine structure online. A simple three-reel base is expanded with multiple mini-games and a separate Juego Superior section where many bonus events are concentrated.

La Bandida 777 belongs to the same 2026 direction, presented as another Classic Bar Slot with seven mini-games and a western theme.

Mina de Oro Golden Edition

Mina de Oro is one of MGA’s long-running game brands. In June 2026, MGA Games and bet365 marked ten years of collaboration with Mina de Oro Golden Edition for the Spanish market.

The Golden Edition keeps the three-reel foundation and develops it through seven themed mini-games. It illustrates MGA’s broader strategy: familiar local formats are retained while their presentation and bonus layers are adapted for modern online play.

An operator card from GoldenPark lists 95% RTP, high volatility and a maximum cash prize of up to €20,000 for this version. Those parameters apply to the cited implementation and should not be transferred to Mina de Oro Plus or other generations of the series.

Royal Bank Bingo

Royal Bank Bingo shows that MGA Games continues to treat Video Bingo as a separate product category. Launch coverage places the international release on 29 June 2026, followed by Spain on 6 July.

The game uses four 3×5 cards and 60 balls. The initial draw contains 30 numbers, after which extra balls can be added. Wild Ball lets the player choose and replace a number, while 15 prize patterns are available.

The game also includes a configurable progressive jackpot and three mini-games. Launch material cites a maximum cash prize of up to €40,000. Current game databases list RTP around 90.64% for one published version.

That value is lower than the RTP of many conventional MGA slots, reinforcing why Video Bingo and slot mathematics should not be merged into a single provider-wide return figure.

Megaways Games from MGA

MGA Games also uses the licensed Megaways mechanic. Titles in its wider catalogue include Mariachi Picante Megaways and Dulce Fortuna Megaways, with localised naming used in different markets.

Megaways changes the number of symbols on the reels from spin to spin and can create up to 117,649 ways to win. Individual games may add cascades, multipliers and Free Spins.

A freshness recheck found direct MGA Games help material and current operator listings for the title Dulce Fortuna Megaways. It should not be treated as a newly released August 2026 game: current evidence points to an earlier launch cycle, while no official 2026 release card was found. Any separate game page should verify the exact market-specific release date and title spelling before publication.

Megaways is only one part of the MGA catalogue. The provider continues to develop Classic Bar Slots and Video Bingo alongside these more internationally familiar mechanics.

Dragones Doble Bote and Modern Video Slots

On 30 July 2026, MGA Games presented Dragones Doble Bote, a Video Slot featuring a Mystery function and prize accumulation. It expands the Doble Bote line used by other titles in the portfolio.

Unlike a Classic Bar Slot, the focus here is on a five-reel video-slot structure, a more contemporary visual interface and collection features.

In 2026, MGA Games stated that its roadmap included 24 products for Spain and 19 for Portugal. These figures should not be added together as 43 unique games because markets can share releases, use localised versions or have different launch dates.

This market-by-market strategy also explains why aggregator catalogues can display far more historical or regional entries than the official corporate statement of “100+ titles.”

MGA Games RTP and Game Mathematics

There is no single RTP for MGA Games. Values depend on the title, product category and certified version.

Game RTP Source / Note
Mina de Oro Golden Edition 95% GoldenPark operator card
Royal Bank Bingo 90.64% Current game databases
Misterio del Faraón 94.72% Current specialist game card
Zeus’ Olympus 95.21% Game database
Waikiki Goddess 85.05% Game database; 2026 listing

The difference between approximately 85% and 95% is too large for a provider average to be useful. Parameters from a Classic Bar Slot should not be carried over to Video Bingo or Megaways titles.

MGA Games does not publish one open corporate RTP database for the entire portfolio. For a specific game, the built-in Info/Rules section and the certified operator version should take priority.

MGA Games Demo and Mobile Play

MGA Games uses HTML5 and its official pages link to demos for selected products. The corporate site highlights animation quality, graphics and download speed, while Video Bingo is specifically described as 100% mobile responsive.

Mobile compatibility usually means access through a browser or an operator’s app rather than a single consumer MGA Games app covering the full B2B catalogue.

Demo mode is useful for understanding mini-games, bingo cards or Megaways mechanics, but it does not guarantee that the same title is available for real-money play in the user’s location.

A demo also does not establish a casino’s legal status. Game certification, supplier permissions and the operator’s own gambling licence are separate layers.

MGA Games Licensing and Certification

MGA Games states that it works under regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions and that its products are validated and certified by international testing bodies, including BMM.

A long list of specific active B2B licences should not be reconstructed from secondary provider reviews. MGA Games operates across regulated markets including Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and parts of Latin America, but the exact permission type and legal entity should be verified separately for each jurisdiction.

This is also where the distinction from the Malta Gaming Authority matters most. The MGA abbreviation in the Spanish brand name does not make the provider a Maltese regulator and does not mean its games are automatically licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.

For an international audience, market availability should be checked at operator and jurisdiction level rather than inferred from the provider’s general regulatory footprint.

New MGA Games in 2026

MGA Games remained active with new launches and presentations in 2026. Confirmed examples include:

  • Mina de Oro Golden Edition — June 2026, a special Spanish launch marking ten years of collaboration with bet365.
  • Chiquito Medieval — 29 June 2026 in Spain.
  • Royal Bank Bingo — international launch on 29 June, followed by Spain on 6 July 2026.
  • La Bandida 777 — presented on 30 July 2026 as a Classic Bar Slot with seven mini-games.
  • Dragones Doble Bote — presented on 30 July 2026 as a Video Slot with a Mystery feature.
  • Waikiki Goddess — listed by external catalogues in the 2026 release cycle and still requiring version-level verification.

Dulce Fortuna Megaways is not counted here as a confirmed 2026 launch after the freshness pass: current evidence links it to an earlier release cycle and no official 2026 game card was found. This change should be synchronised back to the RU factual baseline.

MGA Games Pros and Cons

MGA Games stands out from many global studios through deep localisation and its continued use of traditional Spanish gaming formats.

Advantages

  • More than 100 HTML5 games in the official portfolio.
  • Three clear product areas: Slots, Video Bingo and Table Games.
  • Market-specific localisation that goes beyond interface translation.
  • Distinctive Spanish Celebrities and Classic Bar Slots collections.
  • Active 2026 roadmap with new slots and Video Bingo products.
  • HTML5 and mobile-responsive formats.

Cons

  • The MGA abbreviation is easily confused with Malta Gaming Authority, so brand identity needs clear explanation.
  • RTP varies substantially between games and product types.
  • Local celebrity themes may be less familiar to international audiences.
  • The official site does not provide one open database of RTP and volatility values for the full catalogue.

MGA Games Reviews

Below are opinions about MGA Games. They help highlight which aspects of its games, mechanics, presentation, and product approach may matter when evaluating the provider.

MGA interests me because its Spanish presentation feels genuinely different. Chiquito and Mina de Oro do not look like typical international slots. I especially like the extra mini-games in the Classic Bar Slots: the basic three-reel setup is simple, but one title can keep opening different bonus scenes. It is a good format when I want variety.

Reply:

Thanks for sharing your view. Classic Bar Slots are one of the most distinctive parts of the MGA Games portfolio and differ considerably from standard 5×3 video slots.

Royal Bank Bingo was more interesting than basic video bingo because of Wild Ball and the mini-games. The RTP around 90.6% is noticeably lower than many slots, though, so I would always check the figures first. I also like that MGA keeps bingo as a separate product line instead of making everything feel the same.

Reply:

Thanks. Video Bingo should indeed be assessed separately from the slot catalogue, especially in terms of RTP and bonus structure.

I prefer the more modern Megaways games. Mariachi Picante feels more familiar in an international casino than the bar-machine formats. Still, the local games are what make MGA recognisable. If the whole catalogue were only Megaways, the provider would lose much of its identity.

Reply:

Good observation. Megaways broadens the international side of the catalogue, but MGA Games is still strongly defined by localised content.

I do not really like how wide the RTP range is. One game can be around 95%, a video bingo title around 90%, while specialist databases list some MGA slots even lower. The provider name alone tells you almost nothing about the mathematics, so I always check the exact Info screen for the version I am playing.

Reply:

Agreed. With MGA Games, checking the specific certified version is particularly important because genres and regional configurations can differ significantly.

The catalogue is unusual, but some celebrities and jokes are aimed very specifically at Spanish audiences. If you do not know Chiquito de la Calzada or the local television references, part of the idea is lost. Technically the games are easy to follow and work well on mobile. I prefer MGA titles where a local theme is paired with a universal mechanic.

Reply:

Thanks for the review. Deep localisation is both a strength of MGA Games and a factor that international audiences can experience differently.

MGA Games Review Summary

MGA on this page means Spain’s Grupo MGA / MGA Games, not the Malta Gaming Authority. Grupo MGA was founded in 1976, its online division has operated since 2001 and the official company page lists more than 100 HTML5 games. The portfolio covers Slots, Video Bingo and Table Games, with localised content, Spanish Celebrities and online adaptations of Classic Bar Slots as defining features. MGA Games continued its 2026 release cycle with Mina de Oro Golden Edition, Chiquito Medieval, Royal Bank Bingo, La Bandida 777 and Dragones Doble Bote. RTP should be checked title by title because the differences between products and certified versions are too large for one provider-wide figure.

Casinos with MGA Games

According to Grupo MGA’s official corporate page, MGA Games supplies content to more than 50 national and international operators. Its presence is particularly visible in regulated markets where local collections are developed, including Spain and Portugal. One operator may offer Classic Bar Slots and Spanish Celebrities, while another focuses on Megaways or Video Bingo. The presence of MGA Games in a lobby does not establish the casino’s own licence and does not guarantee the same RTP configuration. Check the operator’s legal status and the game version separately.
