iSoftBet Review

iSoftBet is a game brand and studio within IGT PlayDigital, known for video slots, Megaways, Hold & Win, Bonus Buy and classic table games. The brand has operated since 2010, while the former iSoftBet group was acquired by IGT for €162 million on 1 July 2022. After Apollo Funds acquired IGT’s Gaming & Digital business in July 2025, iSoftBet remained part of the new privately held IGT. In 2026, it is still listed as a separate studio in the official IGT PlayDigital Casino Roadmap. Recognisable titles include Hot Spin, Hot Spin Megaways, Gold Digger, Gold Digger Megaways, Aztec Gold Megaways, Outback Gold: Hold & Win, Book of Immortals and newer Hold & Win releases.

iSoftBet Slots and Games

Online slots make up the core of the iSoftBet catalogue. It includes classic 5×3 games, Megaways titles with dynamic win ways, Hold & Win, Bonus Buy, cash-respin, jackpot and multiplier mechanics. The historical catalogue also contains blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and other table games. The exact number of currently available titles varies by database and region: 2026 catalogues range from roughly 250 to 340+ entries, so it is more accurate to describe the library as several hundred games and check the relevant IGT PlayDigital regional catalogue for availability.

iSoftBet History and the IGT Acquisition

iSoftBet’s history dates back to 2010. The company developed as an independent European iGaming content supplier, expanding its own slot and table-game portfolio while also building technology for aggregating third-party games.

A major milestone came in 2022. International Game Technology completed its acquisition of iSoftBet on 1 July 2022. According to IGT reporting, it acquired 100% of the equity interests in several iSoftBet group companies for €162 million in cash, with up to €4 million in additional contingent consideration.

The acquisition was not only about proprietary games. IGT specifically highlighted iSoftBet’s aggregation platform, promotional tools, analytics and creative talent. Following the deal, IGT PlayDigital’s proprietary game library increased to about 225 titles at that time.

The next corporate change took place on 1 July 2025, when Apollo Funds completed the acquisition of the former IGT Gaming & Digital business and Everi. The combined privately held company continued under the IGT name, while the former lottery business became Brightstar Lottery.

For iSoftBet, the practical result is straightforward: the brand should no longer be described as a separate independent company, but it has not disappeared. The current IGT PlayDigital Casino Roadmap for 2026 still shows iSoftBet as its own studio filter alongside IGT PlayDigital and Everi.

What Games Does iSoftBet Make?

The iSoftBet catalogue has developed around several established game and mechanic groups.

  • Classic video slots. Hot Spin, Gold Digger, Super Fast Hot Hot, The Fortune Pig, Book of Immortals, Book of Sheba and other fixed-line or ways games.
  • Megaways. Aztec Gold Megaways, Hot Spin Megaways, Gold Digger Megaways, Majestic Megaways, Shining King Megaways, Moriarty Megaways, Wild Hammer Megaways and many other versions.
  • Hold & Win. Outback Gold: Hold & Win, Brilliant Diamonds: Hold & Win, Brides of Dracula: Hold & Win, Rising Samurai: Hold & Win, Moon Spirit Hold & Win and other respin titles.
  • Bonus Buy. Some modern games offer direct access to a bonus feature where this is permitted by the relevant jurisdiction and operator.
  • Table games. Baccarat, Blackjack, Blackjack Multi Hand, European Roulette, European Roulette VIP, Red Dog and other classic casino games.
  • Branded games. iSoftBet has historically released games based on licensed film and TV properties; availability can change when underlying IP rights change.

Today, iSoftBet is most strongly associated with Megaways and Hold & Win, although its older catalogue is considerably broader and includes many classic formats.

Hot Spin and Hot Spin Megaways

Hot Spin is one of iSoftBet’s best-known slots. The original version uses a classic fruit theme, 20 paylines and a Hot Spin Wheel that can trigger extra modifiers. Current game databases list the RTP of one widely distributed version of the original Hot Spin at around 96%.

Hot Spin Megaways reworks the concept with Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic. It uses six reels, a dynamic number of symbols and up to 117,649 ways to win. Winning symbols cascade away, while the Hot Spin Wheel can add Wild, Mystery, Max Megaways and other modifiers.

Hot Spin Megaways is widely listed with an RTP of 95.98%, high volatility and a maximum win of up to 50,000x. In Free Spins, players can choose a balance between the number of spins and the starting multiplier, while the multiplier can increase after cascading wins.

The two versions illustrate iSoftBet’s development well: a classic fruit-slot concept was not simply reskinned, but rebuilt around dynamic ways, cascades and multiplier-driven bonuses.

Gold Digger and Gold Digger Megaways

Gold Digger is another central iSoftBet series. Its theme centres on a mine, gold nuggets and the character Gold Diggin’ Gus. The original game combines Gold Link Respins with random modifiers that can expand reels or add Wilds and multipliers.

Gold Digger Megaways moves the series to a dynamic layout with up to 117,649 ways to win. Winning symbols are removed through cascades, while Gold Nuggets are used in separate bonus scenarios.

Current game sources commonly list Gold Digger Megaways with an RTP of 95.97% and medium to medium-high volatility. Maximum-win information is presented differently across systems, from xBet caps to currency limits set by operators, so one external maximum should not be treated as universal for every configuration.

The series also shows iSoftBet’s shift from conventional feature slots towards combinations of Megaways, respins, modifiers and cascading wins.

Aztec Gold and the Megaways Series

Aztec Gold Megaways was one of iSoftBet’s earlier major Megaways releases. The game uses six reels, cascades and up to 117,649 ways to win. The main version is widely listed with an RTP of 95.99% and high or medium-high volatility.

The follow-up Aztec Gold: Extra Gold Megaways expanded the mechanic with additional Gold features and a more complex bonus structure. Aztec Gold Mines also exists in game catalogues, so the same brand has been developed across several game formats.

Other notable iSoftBet Megaways titles include Majestic Megaways, Shining King Megaways, Moriarty Megaways, Wild Hammer Megaways, Western Gold Megaways, Tales of Silver Megaways, Euphoria Megaways, Cleopatra Megaways and The Ruby Megaways.

The Megaways range does not share one mathematical model. For example, Hot Spin Megaways is listed at 95.98% RTP, Aztec Gold Megaways at 95.99%, Wild Hammer Megaways at around 95.78%, while some other releases have configurations around 96% and above.

Hold & Win in iSoftBet Games

Hold & Win is iSoftBet’s other major mechanic family alongside Megaways. The basic concept usually involves cash-value Coin symbols that lock onto a separate bonus field before a series of respins begins. Landing another qualifying symbol resets the remaining-respin counter.

Outback Gold: Hold & Win is one of the most recognisable examples. It uses five reels and 25 paylines. Five Gold Coins trigger Hold & Win Respins, Platinum Coins can increase a global multiplier, and a random Lightning modifier can boost individual results.

The official historical info sheet and current operator pages list Outback Gold with 96% RTP, medium volatility and a 26.2% hit rate. Different sources describe maximum exposure at around 5,000–5,440x, depending on the calculation method and version.

Other Hold & Win titles include Brilliant Diamonds, Brides of Dracula, Rising Samurai, Wolf Canyon, Mighty Stallion, Dragonfire: Chamber of Gold, Moon Spirit, Lanterns & Lions and further series.

Not every Hold & Win version is identical: the number of Coins, jackpot tiers, extra multipliers and availability of a Buy Feature can all differ.

iSoftBet Table Games

iSoftBet has historically produced more than slots. Regulated catalogues still include Baccarat, European Roulette, European Roulette VIP, Blackjack, Blackjack Multi Hand, Blackjack VIP, Jacks or Better and Red Dog.

These games should not be assessed using slot metrics such as volatility and maximum win. The mathematics of blackjack, baccarat and roulette depends on table rules, deck count, available wagers and the bet type selected.

This matters for search intent in two ways. First, “iSoftBet games” is broader than “iSoftBet slots”. Second, the presence of Baccarat or Roulette does not make iSoftBet a live-casino provider: these are digital table games and do not necessarily involve a live dealer.

iSoftBet Slot RTP and Volatility

There is no single RTP for iSoftBet. Many well-known modern titles sit roughly within the 95–97% range, but the catalogue also includes lower and higher values. Some games additionally have alternative RTP configurations for different markets.

Game RTP Volatility Key feature
Hot Spin Megaways 95.98% High up to 117,649 ways, max 50,000x
Gold Digger Megaways 95.97% Medium / medium-high Megaways, cascades, respins
Aztec Gold Megaways 95.99% Medium-high / high Megaways, cascades
Outback Gold: Hold & Win 96% Medium Hold & Win Respins
Book of Immortals 96.31% High Book-style Free Spins
3 Charms Crush 97.23% Medium-low Crush / slot format

Even this small sample shows why a statement such as “iSoftBet RTP is 96%” is too broad. For a specific game, check the Info or Rules section in the version offered by the operator.

Volatility also varies. Hot Spin Megaways and many mythology or fantasy Megaways titles target less frequent, larger outcomes, while other games use medium or lower dispersion.

iSoftBet GAP and IGT PlayDigital

Before the acquisition, iSoftBet developed its own Game Aggregation Platform (GAP). This was not a game brand, but B2B technology that allowed operators to access proprietary and third-party games through one integration while using promotional and engagement tools.

These aggregation capabilities were one of the key reasons for the acquisition. IGT stated that iSoftBet added a proprietary game aggregation platform, scalable promotional tools and analytics to PlayDigital.

Within today’s IGT PlayDigital offering, these areas are presented more broadly. Aggregation and the Engagement Platform include tools such as Prize Engine, Free Rounds, Leaderboards, Missions, Prize Draw, Player Hub and MEGA VAULT.

A third-party game delivered through an aggregator does not become an iSoftBet game. A provider catalogue should therefore count proprietary iSoftBet titles, not every game made available through IGT’s technology platform.

iSoftBet Demo and Mobile Games

iSoftBet games were developed as HTML5 content and are widely available across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Hot Spin Megaways, Gold Digger Megaways, Outback Gold and other recognised titles can run on mobile without a separate provider app.

Demo mode is available through many operators and game catalogues, although free-play access depends on the country and platform rules. In some regulated jurisdictions, even demo access may be subject to age checks.

After integration into IGT PlayDigital, an operator may display the provider label differently: iSoftBet, IGT PlayDigital or as part of a broader IGT catalogue. A different lobby label does not mean that an older slot stopped being an iSoftBet development.

Before real-money play, check the RTP and feature set of the exact version because an operator build may differ from a publicly available demo configuration.

iSoftBet Licences and ISB Entities

Following the acquisitions, iSoftBet licensing is best described through the relevant active legal entities within IGT rather than through the vague phrase “iSoftBet licences” without naming the company.

ISB Albion Limited has active status with the UK Gambling Commission under account number 54705. The register lists two remote activities: Gambling Software Remote and Game Host (Casino) Remote, both effective from 16 August 2019.

ISB Magma Ltd, company number C 89637, holds Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2B/624/2018, issued on 12 May 2021. The current IGT PlayDigital footer describes it as Type 1 (Casino) Critical Gaming Supplies.

These permissions confirm the regulated status of the relevant B2B entities. They are not the licence of every casino that offers Hot Spin, Gold Digger or other games from the brand.

New iSoftBet Games in 2026

A clear sign that iSoftBet remains an active brand after the corporate transactions is the official IGT PlayDigital Casino Roadmap for 2026. Its Studio filter continues to list iSoftBet separately alongside IGT PlayDigital and Everi.

As checked on 31 August 2026, the external B2B catalogue Alea listed Everlasting Turtle (Bonus Buy), dated 20 August 2026, as the latest available release. This aligns with a 20 August release slot in the official IGT roadmap, although the title is hidden on the portal without authenticated access.

Upcoming titles were listed as Magic Treasures Gold Emperor for 3 September, Samurai Rise Kimiko (Bonus Buy) for 10 September and Cleopatra Triple Fortune (Bonus Buy) for 24 September 2026.

On 31 August, those September titles were still future releases and should not be presented as already launched. When this page is updated, actual availability should be checked against IGT PlayDigital and operator-facing B2B catalogues.

Hold & Win releases such as Precious Panda Hold & Win and Mighty Empire Hold & Win also continue to appear in 2026, reinforcing the continued use of one of the brand’s main mechanic families.

iSoftBet Pros and Cons

iSoftBet combines a large historical catalogue with continued activity inside IGT PlayDigital.

Advantages

  • Recognisable series including Hot Spin, Gold Digger, Aztec Gold, Book of Immortals and Outback Gold.
  • A broad range of Megaways and Hold & Win titles alongside classic video slots and table games.
  • The brand remains active in the official 2026 IGT PlayDigital roadmap despite the 2022 and 2025 acquisitions.
  • Active UKGC and MGA permissions are confirmed for the related entities ISB Albion Limited and ISB Magma Ltd.
  • HTML5 content is well suited to mobile and desktop play.
  • iSoftBet's technology legacy includes aggregation and engagement tools that strengthened IGT PlayDigital.

Cons

  • The corporate structure has changed several times, so older reviews may incorrectly describe iSoftBet as an independent company.
  • Game counts vary substantially between catalogues because of regional availability, older branded titles and different counting methods.
  • RTP and volatility cannot be generalised: even closely related Megaways and Hold & Win games may use different configurations.
  • Some older licensed film and TV games can disappear from individual lobbies when intellectual-property rights change.

iSoftBet Game Reviews

Below are opinions about iSoftBet. They help highlight which aspects of its games, mechanics, presentation, and product approach may matter when evaluating the provider.

Hot Spin Megaways is the game that best sums up the iSoftBet style for me. On the surface it is a simple fruit theme, but underneath it has cascades, a huge number of ways and a modifier wheel. I like getting a modern mechanic without an overloaded theme. The high volatility and large maximum win also make it clear that it is not designed for perfectly even results.

Reply:

Thanks for sharing your view. Hot Spin Megaways does combine a classic visual base with more complex Megaways mathematics and a broad set of modifiers.

Outback Gold is my favourite of the Hold & Win games. The coin bonus is easy to understand, while Platinum and Lightning add enough variety to stop the respins feeling identical. It is also useful that the 96% RTP is easy to confirm with operators. I still check the exact version because older providers often have several configurations.

Reply:

Thank you. Checking the operator build is useful for iSoftBet titles, especially where a game has multiple regional or mathematical versions.

Gold Digger and Aztec Gold are two series I return to from time to time. The Megaways versions feel more interesting than the originals because of the cascades and extra features. The downside is that the catalogue is so large that there are many similar names, and it can be difficult to find the exact version without filtering by mechanic.

Reply:

That’s a fair point. iSoftBet has many sequels and variations of established titles, so the exact game name matters when checking mechanics and RTP.

I like the variety in RTP figures, but that is exactly why a general provider review is not very useful without a table of specific games. Hot Spin Megaways, Book of Immortals and the Hold & Win titles have different values and volatility. It can also be confusing that one casino labels the provider as iSoftBet while another uses IGT PlayDigital.

Reply:

Thanks for the feedback. The brand can be displayed differently after the acquisition, but that does not change the origin of a specific title.

Some of the older catalogue shows its age, with many straightforward five-reel slots and licensed themes that look simpler than modern releases. Megaways and Hold & Win are more interesting to me. It is good that iSoftBet was not discontinued after the IGT acquisition and that new titles still appear under the same studio label in 2026.

Reply:

Thank you. The historical catalogue spans several generations, while the current IGT PlayDigital roadmap confirms that iSoftBet continues as an active studio.

iSoftBet Review Summary

iSoftBet is an active game brand within IGT PlayDigital with a history dating to 2010. The independent iSoftBet group was acquired by IGT in 2022, and since July 2025 the Gaming & Digital business, together with Everi, has been part of the new privately held IGT controlled by Apollo Funds. The iSoftBet studio label remains in the official 2026 roadmap and continues to receive new releases. The strongest parts of the catalogue are Megaways, Hold & Win and a large historical collection of classic slots and table games. To evaluate a particular game accurately, check its RTP, volatility and operator version rather than using one average figure for the brand.

Casinos with iSoftBet Games

iSoftBet games are distributed through IGT PlayDigital and partner aggregation integrations. One casino may list the titles under iSoftBet, while another may place them under IGT PlayDigital. The available set depends on the region, rights to branded content and certified configurations. The presence of an iSoftBet game does not confirm a casino’s licence and does not guarantee the same RTP. Check each operator’s regulatory status, the exact game version and the availability of features such as Bonus Buy separately.
