Greentube did not begin as a conventional slot studio. Its first notable product was the 3D game Ski Challenge, released in 1998 by Austria’s Dürrschmid&Reisinger OEG. In 2000, the company adopted the name Greentube Internet Entertainment Solutions AG and gradually expanded into online entertainment and casino software.
Greentube joined NOVOMATIC Group in 2010. This shaped its modern role: the company became the group’s digital gaming and entertainment division and gained a direct route for bringing well-known NOVOMATIC land-based games online.
This is why Book of Ra, Sizzling Hot, Lucky Lady’s Charm and Dolphin’s Pearl are often described as both NOVOMATIC and Greentube games. Historically, they are land-based brands from the group, while Greentube is responsible for a significant part of their digital life, newer online versions and distribution.
The main corporate brand now operates through Greentube GmbH in Vienna. Separate licensed and operational functions are also handled by Greentube Malta Limited, Greentube Alderney Limited and other group entities. These companies should not be treated as a single legal entity.
Greentube is a B2B supplier of games and technology. The wider group also has operator and social-casino businesses, but registration, deposits, withdrawals, KYC and bonuses at a particular casino must not be attributed to Greentube as a game provider.
