Chicken+ — Arcade Game Review and Free Demo

Chicken+ Review

Chicken+ by Pragmatic Play is a cash-or-crash arcade game released on March 26, 2026. The player guides a chicken across lanes of an 8-bit highway: each successful step increases the multiplier, after which the current win can be cashed out or risked on the next crossing. A single random collision ends the round with a loss. Four risk levels are available — Easy, Medium, Hard and Daredevil — with different numbers of lanes and maximum potential.

Chicken+ Demo — Play for Free

A free Demo URL for Chicken+ is available in SlotsLaunch. The demo lets you test the core cycle without wagering real money: choose a bet, select a risk level, press Go, cross one or more lanes and decide when to use Cash Out. This is particularly useful before real-money play because Hard and Daredevil increase the multiplier much faster while also reducing the chance of safely completing the next step.

Chicken+ Key Features

Chicken+ belongs to the Arcade category and does not use reels, paylines or matching-symbol combinations. Its main mathematical structure is a ladder of step multipliers. Pragmatic Play officially confirms four risk levels and a rise in possible winnings from 24x in Easy to more than 3,000,000x in Daredevil. Several independent exact-version sources list an RTP of 97.5% and a top multiplier of 3,138,009x.

How to Play Chicken+

Before starting a round, the player chooses a bet and one of four risk levels. After pressing Go, the chicken attempts to cross the next highway lane. If the crossing succeeds, the current win multiplier increases and the player gets a choice: lock in the result with Cash Out or keep moving.

If the player decides to continue, the potential payout rises but the risk of a random collision remains. A crash ends the current round with a loss, and the accumulated multiplier is not paid. The central decision in Chicken+ is therefore not “which symbol will land”, but when to stop and take the result already reached.

Pragmatic Play’s official presentation shows both the potential win and the percentage probability of reaching each next lane. This makes the risk more transparent: before pressing Go, the player can see how the chance of a successful crossing falls as the run progresses.

The higher the selected risk level, the fewer lanes need to be crossed to reach the maximum result, but the greater the chance of a collision. Easy provides a longer, calmer ladder, while Daredevil uses a shorter sequence with much sharper multiplier growth.

Chicken+ Game Elements

Chicken+ has no paying symbols. Instead of a traditional icon set, it uses arcade elements that show the progress of the current round and the selected risk level.

  • Chicken. The main character, which crosses one lane after each press of Go.
  • Highway lanes. Individual steps on the multiplier ladder. The number of lanes depends on the selected risk level.
  • Traffic hazards. Cars and other obstacles provide the visual representation of a losing result.
  • Multiplier ladder. Shows the current multiplier and the next possible win multiplier.
  • Cash Out. Lets the player end the round after a successful crossing and lock in the current payout.

Chicken+ Risk Levels and Multipliers

Easy is the longest route, with 24 lanes. Exact secondary sources list a top multiplier of 24x. It is the mildest of the four modes in terms of how quickly the potential win increases.

Medium uses 22 lanes. Independent exact-version sources agree on a maximum of 2208x. Multiplier progression is noticeably faster here than in Easy.

Hard shortens the route to 20 lanes and raises the top potential to 51,004.8x according to exact secondary data. The risk of failing the next step is also substantially higher.

Daredevil is the most aggressive mode, with 15 lanes. Several exact-version sources list a final multiplier of 3,138,009x. Pragmatic Play officially confirms maximum potential above 3,000,000x.

Chicken+ has no separate Free Spins, Wild, Scatter or Bonus Buy. All of its variety comes from the selected risk level, sequential multiplier growth and the Cash Out decision. This is the core game mechanic rather than a bonus mode added to a conventional slot.

Chicken+ Interface and Controls

The interface is built around a few key actions: choosing the bet, switching between Easy/Medium/Hard/Daredevil, pressing Go and using Cash Out. Potential multipliers and the probability of successfully reaching each next lane are shown on screen in advance.

The risk level is selected before the round starts and does not change during the current run. After every successful step, the player again chooses between taking the result and continuing. This structure makes Chicken+ suitable for short sessions but also calls for pace control: decisions are made quickly, and a new round can begin immediately after the previous one.

The official Pragmatic Play page places the game in the Arcade category, while third-party catalogues list HTML5/JS and mobile-browser support. The retro 8-bit graphics scale well on smaller screens because the key elements — the road, multiplier and control buttons — remain large and easy to read.

Chicken+ Pros and Cons

Chicken+ is designed for players interested in fast cash-or-crash rounds and making their own decision about when to Cash Out.

Pros

  • Four risk levels let you change the pace and potential maximum.
  • The current win can be collected after any successful crossing.
  • The game shows the probability of reaching the next lane.
  • Official maximum potential exceeds 3,000,000x.
  • A free demo mode is available.
  • Simple arcade mechanic without reels or paylines.

Cons

  • A single collision wipes out the result of the current round.
  • Hard and Daredevil produce extremely sharp swings in outcomes.
  • No Free Spins, Wild, Scatter or separate Bonus Buy.

Chicken+ Reviews

Below are opinions about Chicken+. They help you understand which features, mechanics, pace, and design may be important when evaluating the game.

What I like most is that the decision stays with the player after every successful step. You can immediately take a small multiplier or continue and risk everything for the next lane. Easy is good for a calmer introduction, while Daredevil turns the same simple idea into a much more intense game.

Editor’s reply:

Yes, the four risk levels change the speed of multiplier growth and the chance of continuing without making the basic rules more complicated.

It is useful that the game shows the probability of crossing the next lane. That does not make the outcome predictable, but at least you can see how sharply the risk is increasing. I like having Cash Out after every step — there is no need to wait for a preset bonus to finish, and you can choose your own stopping point.

Editor’s reply:

The transparent step mechanic and the option to stop after a successful crossing are exactly what make Chicken+ feel more controllable than an automatic crash cycle.

Hard feels like the most interesting balance for me. Multipliers grow slowly in Easy, while Daredevil turns into almost all-or-nothing too quickly. Hard already has very large values but keeps a longer route. The main thing is to decide in advance which multiplier is enough for you to press Cash Out.

Editor’s reply:

That is a sensible approach: it is better to choose the risk level and a Cash Out target before the round rather than changing strategy impulsively after every step.

The 8-bit style works well visually and does not clutter the screen. Rounds are very short, so the game suits a few quick attempts. But that same speed makes it easy to start another round without a pause. The demo clearly shows how quickly the feeling of risk changes between Easy and Daredevil.

Editor’s reply:

Yes, the fast cycle is both a strength and a reason to pay closer attention to bet size and the number of consecutive rounds.

I am used to regular slots with Free Spins and bonus symbols, so Chicken+ feels almost too simple at first. Nearly everything comes down to Go and Cash Out. But the four risk levels really change the character of the game, and the huge Daredevil maximum makes the format more interesting than a basic mini-crash game.

Editor’s reply:

That impression is understandable: Chicken+ is officially categorised as Arcade and is not designed to copy the structure of a conventional video slot.

Chicken+ Review Summary

Chicken+ is a compact arcade game built around a clear “take it now or risk it further” dilemma. The multiplier rises after every successful crossing, while a collision ends the round with a loss. Easy, Medium, Hard and Daredevil provide different routes and maximums, from 24x to more than 3,000,000x. For the exact version, independent sources list 97.5% RTP and a final Daredevil multiplier of 3,138,009x. It is best to start with the demo and choose a comfortable risk level before playing for real money.
