I was most interested in the Gamble feature. After a normal win, you get an extra decision: take the result or try to double it by choosing the colour of a card. I find that more engaging than automatic multipliers because you decide whether to increase the risk. The slot itself still stays very simple.
Gamble does add a player decision, but it is important to remember that choosing the wrong colour loses the amount placed into the gamble round.

The crystal theme works well with the classic format, especially the red seven and large diamond. More importantly for me, the symbol values are easy to remember: four basic crystals, then higher-value gems, the star, diamond and seven. The paytable is quite transparent.
The small number of symbols does make it easier to understand the payouts and see the value of a combination as soon as the reels stop.
